Congratulatory Message for Pinelands Creative Workshop
As Pinelands Creative Workshop celebrates its 40th Anniversary this year, it gives us great pleasure to say a few words on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the Project Management Team of The Maria Holder Memorial Trust. We extend heartfelt congratulations to the Team at Pinelands Creative Workshop as they celebrate this milestone of success.
Pinelands Creative Workshop has been a household name in Barbados with their exemplary service to the community through empowerment, education and creative arts. We can even boast of having a member of our Project Management Team who was a product of their cultural programme. Our families and friends included, have all had the distinct pleasure of enjoying the unique and cultural performances of the Pinelands Creative Workshop. Whilst the organisation has certainly grown over the years, their commitment to the community and the long-standing contributions made to the development of the local cultural industry remains ever present.
Pinelands Creative Workshop has assisted thousands of people over the years with their programmes and, it is based on this fact, that we at The Maria Holder Memorial Trust are extremely delighted to be able to have a partnership with them for the past two years by developing the capacity of youth and young adults through music and musical production; dance; drumming; sound and lighting technology; personal development; career planning; ICT and leadership development for succession planning. We will most certainly need the latter programme if we are to celebrate the continuity of the Pinelands Creative Workshop in future years. Over the next two years, the Team at The Maria Holder Memorial Trust will continue to play a significant role in supporting Pinelands Creative Workshop just as we hope that they will continue the work done locally in the development of the Arts in Barbados.
Congratulations, Pinelands Creative Workshop, on your 40th Anniversary and we wish you many more successful years!
Christopher Holder and Chesterfield Brewster
